In 1992, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences "Comprehensive Clinical and Instrumental Assessment of Heart and Vascular Damage in Systemic Lupus and Systemic Scleroderma," in 1999 she was awarded the title of Associate Professor, and in 2004, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences "Extracorporeal Correction of Disorders." Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Natalia Pavlovna Mitkovskaya has published more than 1010 scientific works, including 5 monographs. The main scientific research is devoted to studying the causes and mechanisms of acute and chronic coronary pathology; developing methods for assessing and correcting cardiovascular risk in individuals with comorbid pathology, recipients of liver, kidney, and lung transplants. Candidate dissertation: "Comprehensive clinical-instrumental assessment of heart and small circulation vessel damage in systemic lupus erythematosus and systemic scleroderma" Doctoral dissertation: "Extracorporeal correction of homeostasis disorders and intensive drug therapy of systemic connective tissue diseases" On November 19, 2020, Cambridge Scholars Publishing published the monograph by G.A. The scientific and practical experience provided by Natalia Pavlovna – a scientist and doctor – formed the basis for the creation of the scientific and pedagogical school of the Belarusian State Medical University "Emergency Cardiology and Preventive Medicine in the Clinic of Internal Diseases." Prizes of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for special contribution to the development of the abilities of gifted students and pupils. Under the guidance of N.P. Mitkovskaya, 16 candidate dissertations have been defended, she is a consultant for 8 doctoral dissertations and a scientific supervisor for 11 candidate dissertations, a scientific supervisor for 23 scientific topics of the GNTP and GKPNI programs, and the innovation fund.
