Registration is now open for the first Russian Space Forum (RSF), which will take place on 9 April 2026 at the Russia National Centre in Moscow. This is a chance to take part in a key industry platform where priority areas for the development of the Russian space programme will be presented and new opportunities for cooperation between the government, business, and the scientific community will be discussed.
You can apply to take part in the event on the official RSF website by filling in the application form and undergoing the accreditation process.
The Forum will act as the central event of Space Week 2026, which will bring together representatives of government agencies, state corporations, private companies, scientific organizations, and international partners. The business programme will include discussions of the industry's strategic objectives, the prospects for the development of space technologies, and their practical application in various areas of the economy and public life.
"We must lay a solid foundation that will not only build on existing successes, but also serve as a steppingstone for reaching new heights, including through international cooperation. Our plans extend to the coming decade and beyond. The Forum creates all the conditions for us to realize our potential in full," noted Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Bakanov.
The Forum will discuss five key areas that will form the backbone for the development of the space programme in the years to come. Some of the most important topics will be the near-Earth economy, deep space exploration, and the lunar programme. Another important issue that will be addressed at the Forum is the continuity of generations, the effective training of new personnel, and the popularization of professions related to the space industry. The long-term success of the Russian space programme depends on effective engagement with young people through digital technologies and raising the prestige of careers in the space sector.
"The Russian Space Forum will help improve the current approach to space exploration. We have set ourselves many ambitious goals and we are ready for the challenges that working towards them will bring. Now we need to focus on the development of the space sector, which is impossible without coordinated efforts across the entire industry," stressed Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation Vladimir Zatynaiko.
The RSF will also address issues of economic development in low-orbit environments, a promising and emerging industry. The discussions on this issue will focus on methods for creating the necessary infrastructure. Another topic will be new opportunities for private businesses to enter the space industry. Speakers will put forward ideas on how to improve people's quality of life through the modernization of satellite networks.
An equally important aspect of the Forum is the issue of international cooperation and interaction between international partners to achieve the goals that have been set for the industry in the coming years.
